Guide to University

Welcome to the UK-student’s web site!

This website was set up to give help and advice to anyone thinking about going to university in the UK

My name is Matthew James and I am currently studying for a degree in physics.
I first decided that I wanted to go to university when I was studying for my A-levels. My school offered some help with going to university but there were vast bits of information that they left out, meaning that I had to find out most of the information myself. I searched through various websites and managed to extract small bits of advice or information that I needed- but I couldn’t find one particular book or website that contained all of the relevant information that I needed. So then I decided to make life easier for anyone else thinking about starting a course at a UK university. Parents and students can find that this is a very stressful time of their lives and it certainly does help to have as much relevant information/advice as possible to hand, in one complete guide.
